Keep business access and residential access distinct
Where a property has a shop or office entrance and a separate residential door, identify the affected one clearly. Give its number and access instructions rather than only the main business name. Explain who controls the lock and whether other occupants use it. A repair to one entrance should not be confused with authority to change another.
A lock that fails when you are closing up
Say whether the door closes, whether the latch catches and whether the key can complete its turn. Mention if the problem has developed over time or followed damage. For a business, identify an authorised person who can remain available while the options are discussed. Ask about the repair scope, likely parts and current availability before agreeing attendance.
After damage, separate repair from an upgrade
A broken lock and damage around the frame need assessing together. Describe any loose fittings or split material, and say if the door can still be secured. Ask what addresses the immediate damage and what would be an optional improvement. Azzurro offers burglary repairs and lock changes; call 020 3670 6608 to discuss which service fits the situation.

Make the first call useful
Have your full postcode ready. Explain whether you are locked out, the property cannot be secured or you are planning a lock change. For managed buildings, confirm who can approve the work and how the locksmith can reach the right entrance.
